Upgrading to Windows 8 or 10
What you really need to know before you upgrade. I have seen a lot of people do the upgrade to windows 8 and windows 10 and once the upgrade is complete they are all like, What happened to my start button? Well if this is you then your not alone in the thought. Microsoft decided to integrate their windows phone/tablet version menu with their Windows operating system for PC’s. Well in my opinion it really didn’t work at all in windows 8 or 8.1 for that matter. They did make an effort to bring back the start button in the windows 8 platform but failed miserably. You still didn’t have the familiar programs menu that we have all gotten used to over the years. In windows 10 they made another attempt to bring back the start button and its menu but again the tried to incorporate the phone/tablet type menu. This just confused people even more. I have heard stories of people buying new windows 8 based computers and returning them because they just couldn’t navigate their new menu and find their programs. Well that day had ended! There a couple of companies out there that saw what Microsoft had don and created solutions that brought back the start button and it’s menu. One of which is a company called Classic Shell. These guys have their stuff together. They created a great start button solution. Their start button is a fully customizable for any user type. It is the best solution for reinstalling a feature that everyone knows and loves for navigating Windows. There are 3 different menu styles to choose from and the ability to change the appearance of the start button logo as well. All you have to do is click on the Shell above or on the Classic Shell button below and when prompted to run the program click run. Once installed you can right click on the new start button to customize it to the way it best suits you. Its just that simple.
